Spanish food has a unique identity of its own, discover this for yourself on a Spanish cooking course in Barcelona with the added bonus of a guided visit to the famous Boqueria market.
This half day Spanish cooking course is ideal for both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ cooks everywhere. You will learn from an expert chef how to cook a typical Spanish meal from appetiser to desert promising not only a culinary experience but also a cultural one.
Begin the course with a guided walk around Barcelona's famous Boqueria market where you will receive tips from your friendly, professional chef who will show you how to pick local and seasonal produce before you head back to the kitchen to begin cooking your Spanish menu.
This is a hands-on Spanish cooking class, so don your apron and chef’s hat, roll up your sleeves and get ready to start cooking.
Once the menu is ready, you and your fellow would-be cooks will sit down with the professional chef to enjoy the delicious Spanish food you have prepared, accompanied by a glass of Spanish wine.
Suitability
- Suitable for all levels of cooking experience from beginners to advanced
- Minimum age 5, under 18's must be accompanied by an adult
- Lessons will be taught in English and Spanish, depending on your requirements
One Day Spanish Cooking Class Start Days
- Classes run on selected dates throughout the year
- There are 2 classes per day (excluding Sunday) either starting in the morning with a market visit at 9.45am or the evening with a market visit at 3.45pm (cooking lessons back at the cooking school start at 11am or 5pm)
- Morning market visits are on Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri and Sat
- Afternoon market visits are on Fri only

Menus change according to the season and the fresh food available at the market but may include:
- Gazpacho
- Ensalada de espinacas frescas
- Arroz negro
- Croquetas
- Basil & cheese ice cream
- Paella
- Various tapas dishes
- Hake in salsa verde
- Gambas al ajillo (prawns with garlic)
- Creme Catalan
