Detailed course itinerary
By combining Italian language and cooking, this unique weekend course offers you the opportunity to sample the essence of Italian culture.
Designed to give you a unique learning experience; your Italian language lessons will not just be confined to the classroom but you will also be given the opportunity to practice your Italian in practical situations.
You’ll be accompanied by your private tutor to eat in local restaurants, cafes and will walk around Sorrento using your new found Italian language skills. You will also learn cooking vocabulary during your hands-on authentic Italian cooking class.
Pursue your passion for Italian language and cooking, learn Italian and how to prepare and cook typical Italian dishes and take home two new skills that will stay with you long after the holiday is over.

Start Days
- Your weekend package will run from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon
- Dates are flexible, if you would prefer to start on another day of the week, please email with the dates you require
What will I be doing?
Language
- You will have 10 hours of private Italian language lessons during the weekend
- Lessons will take place both inside the classroom and around the town so you have the opportunity to put your new skills into practice
- Lessons will be tailored to meet your needs and interests, for example, fashion, holiday or food vocabulary; please enter your interests into the special requirements box during the booking process so that a teacher can be matched to your specific interests
- On Friday and Saturday your tutor will take you to excellent authentic Italian restaurants so you can sample the delicious food from around the region, help you to order your meal in Italian and experience the Italian way of life
Cooking
- On Sunday afternoon you will join other fellow would-be chefs at your cooking class
- The class will take place in an authentic Italian kitchen with a fun and friendly atmosphere located in the heart of Sorrento
- With the help of a professional and passionate Italian chef you will join in with the cooking as you learn how to prepare and cook typical Neapolitan dishes
- After your lesson you will sit down with the chef and fellow students to eat the delicious meal you have prepared
Typical Weekend Schedule
Friday
- Private lessons will start at 4:30pm and last for 5 hours
- 3 hours of lessons will be in the classroom
- 2 hours of lessons will be take place over dinner in a local Sorrento restaurant
- Practice your new Italian language skills over dinner accompanied by your language tutor
- Dinner with soft drinks and wine is included in the price
Saturday
- Private one-on-one language lessons will start at 9am until 2pm
- 3 hours of lesson will be in the classroom
- 2 hours of lessons will be take place over a pizza lunch in a local Sorrento restaurant
- Practice your new Italian language skills over lunch accompanied by your language tutor
- Pizza, salad, soft drinks and wine is included in the price
- Saturday afternoon is free to relax and explore the Amalfi Coast
Sunday
- Your group cooking class will take place at 10am until 2pm at a local Italian cooking school situated in the heart of Sorrento
- Lessons will be given in English and Italian to help you practice your new found language skills
- Sunday afternoon is free to relax and explore the Amalfi Coast
Free time
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new language skills or just kick back and relax on this learning holiday with a difference
- Optional excursions can be arranged to Capri, Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast
- The school can help arrange yoga, reiki, massage and spa days, boat trips and more during your free time
Meals
- Please note that the meals you have during your Italian classes on Friday and Saturday as part of the lesson are included in the price, you will also eat the meal you have cooked on Sunday as part of your cooking course
- All other meals and drinks will be at your own expense
- If you have any dietary requirements, please enter this in the special request box at the time of booking
