Blanche has always had a passion for yoga and bodywork, since her first yoga class 10 years ago. Her solid and nourishing self-practice keeps her teaching style fresh and rooted in her experience. She started with Iyengar yoga then went on to study Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin Yoga. She travelled to India to deepen her practice and started meditating.

What type of yoga does she teach?
Blanche specialises in Vinyasa Flow and also Zen Shiatsu massage.
What are her yoga classes like?
The morning Vinyasa practice will combine a deep slow yoga flow with some dynamic and challenging sequences, and the afternoon sessions will include Yin restorative yoga to balance the practice, weaving in poetry and yoga philosophy to integrate the realizations we have during asana into our lives off the mat.
What are her passions?
Blanche has a keen interest in the therapeutic benefits of yoga, and will be available for Shiatsu and 1.2.1 yoga therapy sessions during the retreat to complement your practice. Shiatsu is rooted in Oriental Medicine and draws from a deep knowledge of the pathways of the energy body (meridians), releasing any stagnant or blocked energy in these channels to bring about a state of balance, deep calm and healing.
What is it like to be taught by Blanche?
Blanche aims to empower her students to develop or deepen their own self-practice during this heart-warming week of yoga and sunshine. Blanche works with a somatic approach to encourage an in-depth and organic exploration into our embodied experience with an emphasis on deepening self-enquiry. You will synchronize breath and movement in a yoga practice that guides you from external alignment to the awareness of internal space and greater freedom.
