Set right in the center of Side old town, said to be one of the most historic Antic villages in Turkey this fantastic yoga holiday allows you to unwind and relax in a beautiful setting. The retreat has a range of special guest yoga teachers throughout the year, and if you join us on 14 July, 21 July or 1 September 2013, you’ll be taught by the lovely Nicky Osborn.
What is her background?
Nicky found yoga 8 years ago and has never looked back. She found it an amazing release through a particularly stressful time in her life. Each class became a wonderful liberation for her, both mentally and physically. When she realised that she wanted to spread her love of yoga she took a teacher training course in the steamy conditions of Morocco which has given her a love of Hot Yoga.
What qualifications does she have?
She is a certified Pregnancy Yoga teacher and a member of Yoga Alliance. She is also a qualified First Aider.
What type of yoga does she teach?
Nicky primarily teaches Hatha Yoga, with some Vinyasa flow moves. She is especially interested in energy flow and asanas.
What are her passions?
Nicky is especially interested in energy flow. Just as each asana has a final form, the energy circulation of each pose also has a final form and she seeks to enlighten students’ observation of energy channels and deepen their ability to tap into them.
What is it like to be taught by Blanche?
With daily routine left behind, in relaxed warm surroundings it is the perfect environment to feel your way into asanas and then challenge yourself further. You will leave a session loose, relaxed, and calm yet tingling as you tap into the energy flow around your body. Nicky likes to develop good alignment in her students; however, she encourages them not to get too hung up the perfect posture but rather to enjoy how an asana feels. During the week she can help you tailor a daily workout practice for you to continue to develop once back at home.
