Date puree features as a healthy alternative to sugar or artificial sweeteners. Kill two birds with one (date) stone by satisfying both your sweet tooth and your nutritional needs with this simple recipe. A staple dessert ingredient.
Ingredients:
- 300g destoned dates
- 200ml water
Method:
- Combine the dates and the water and the water in a small pot with a lid and bring to the boil
- Remove from the heat and set aside for 5-10 minutes
- Blend on high to puree
Store in fridge or freeze in smaller portions
