A bit of glossy magazine coverage is always fun — and thanks to Rebecca Gamble of Woman’s Weekly, we got to see our cooking and culture holiday up close and shimmering.
Rebecca contacted us early in April, asking for our best cooking holidays. After poring through the options we sent (we couldn’t choose just one!), she selected our trip in the Aragon region of the Spanish Pyrenees.
The article reads:
“Here’s a chance to discover how to prepare traditional local dishes in the Spanish Pyrenees.
Stay in a restored 17th-century farmhouse, where you will discover how to prepare delicious tapas recipes such as huevos flamencos — baked egg with red pepper and sweetcorn — and garbanzos con chorizo — chickpeas with chorizo.
And, as the Spanish love seafood, you will also be tutored in the art of preparing fish dishes such as pimientos de piquillo rellenos con bacalao — grilled red peppers stuffed with cod, served with a grilled pepper and tomato salsa.
Join daily excursions to visit artisan producers to taste and buy fresh produce, ready to cook. Plus there’s a chance to combine perfecting your culinary skills with culture as you take in historic towns, including medieval Ainsa, where you will visit its old fort.”
