With 24 lessons during the week, this French A Level revision course will teach you the skills needed to get through your French A or AS Level exams. You will be taught by highly qualified native French speakers who have a passion for teaching, excellent experience teaching A and AS level students and use proven teaching techniques.

Start Days
- Selected start dates are available during 2009 Easter and Summer
- All courses start on Monday
French A Level Revision Class Schedule
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday
- You will have a total of 24 group classes lasting 45 minutes each
- There are also 3 optional cultural / sporting activities provided each week; examples include, surfing, traditional Basque pelote, mountain biking, guided tour of the town, visits to the sea or chocolate museums, cinema and more
Easter
- During courses in March and April you will have 4 lessons each morning, Monday to Friday, from 9.45am-1pm
- On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons you will have 2 additional groups lessons each day from 2-3.30pm
Summer
- During courses in July and August you will have 5 lessons each morning on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am-1pm
- On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons you will have 2 additional groups lessons each day from 2-3.30pm
- Please note there are no lessons on Wednesday
What Will I Learn?
- The course is tailored to ensure students have the skills necessary to pass A/AS Level exams
- Train for each specific exam, such as, listening activities, presenting a theme, writing a letter, narrative or summary and more
- The main objective is to improve linguistic abilities whilst concentrating on essential aspects of the A Level exam
- Revise grammar and build vocabulary
- Emphasis is placed on oral participation through personal presentations, role-plays and use of real documents
- Homework will be set each day for completion by the next morning
Level Test
- Please arrive at the school by 8.45am (Easter) or 8:15am (Summer) on your first day for a short level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level
- Groups will be from 6 to 12 students depending on your level of French
Free Time in Biarritz
The language school organises a host of social and cultural activities each week to help you to get to know your fellow classmates and to integrate you into the French way of life, some activities are free and others have a small charge and may include:
- Guided tours of Biarritz town and its museums and galleries
- Tastings of local products, such as, cheese, chocolate and much more
- Excursions to the Pyrenees Mountains, Lourdes and visits to Basque villages
- Many sports activities to choose from, such as, hiking, surfing, horse riding, sea water canoeing and much more
- Discover the local and traditional cuisine during a cooking class
- Try the local sport of ‘pelote basque’, similar to squash but with bare hands
- This is an intensive exam preparation course and homework will be set daily but you will have free time to enjoy this delightful beach town and practice your language skills

- We recommend you bring a small French dictionary with you
Optional Extras
- This school offers optional accommodation staying with a host family which runs from Sunday before your course starts to the Saturday after your course finishes (6 nights)
- The accommodation can be added to your course during the booking process
Compulsory Extras
