About the school
This excellent surf school in Baleal, Peniche on Cantinho da Baia was established in 1993 by two brothers who have been surfing the waves in Peniche since their childhood.
Together with their team of qualified surf instructors they have the passion and experience to help you experience the true surfer lifestyle on Portugal's stunning beaches. With 1 instructor and 1 surf assistant to a maximum of 8 students, you'll be assured personal attention and your surfing will progress rapidly during your stay in Portugal.
Located on the Peniche peninsula in the Western region of Portugal, the area provides quality waves all year round and within a 15km radius you may find over 20 different wave conditions suitable for all levels from beginner surfers to advanced.
The location offers such fantastic surf conditions that it was selected for WCT ASP world Surf Tour and Rip Curl Pro Search in 2009 which are scheduled to return with the top 15 surfers world-wide catching the perfect waves on this beautiful peninsula.
The surf school holds an exclusive permit to have its surf classes on the Cantinho da Baia beach. This spot is legendary for its Supertubos beach and ideal conditions for beginners making it the perfect school at which to go learn to surf.
The beach front surf camp accommodation provided is of the highest quality and is less than 5 minutes walk away from the surf centre so there's no need for transport and no lugging your board and wetsuit around as you are right on the beach front.
In your free time you can explore the stunning surrounding landscapes by renting a bike, go fishing, explore the regions wineries, enjoy the towns of Baleal and Peniche, practice your surfing or head to the local bar where you may find your surf instructors behind the turntables.

By Taxi - Nearest airport: Lisbon (80km away), you can also fly to Oporto or Faro although distances are longer.
Buses run daily every 2-3 hours from Lisbon bus station to Peniche (about 80km). From Peniche, a taxi to the surf school costs around 10 Euros and takes 10 minutes.
Transfers leaving from Lisbon at 2pm & 8pm on Sundays can be added for 95 Euros each way per person at the time of booking (more than 2 people receive a discount on the transfer price)
