The small town of Montanita is situated on Ecuador’s Pacific coast just 180km from Guayaquil, Ecuador’s largest city. Montanita is renowned throughout South America as being one of the best surf spots on the continent and due to this the town attracts many eclectic visitors throughout the year.

A quiet, peaceful oasis by day, Montanita comes alive at night when you can visit one of the 30 cocktail bars or salsa with the locals in the salsa bars of this lively yet welcoming town.

By Taxi - Nearest airports: Guayaquil

Guayaquil is located 2.5 hours from the language school in Montanita, a bus (approximately US$6) or a private transfer (approximately US$80) can be taken to the school from the airport.

There are connecting flights from Quito airport to Guayaquil that take 30 minutes, many domestic airlines operate this route.

Please note: If you arrive in to Guayaquil after 2pm you may not be able to take the bus to Montanita and will therefore need to request a private transfer ($80 one way).
