An inspiration to budding female entrepreneurs – my internship at GoLearnTo.com

Having been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to travel widely and having ambitions to participate in international projects, an internship at a young, up-and-coming, entrepreneurial company with the ambition of innovating the travel world appealed greatly. With an extensive range of unusual activity holidays across 37 different countries, your horizons will broaden as you find out just how many interesting opportunities, places and people there are in the big wide world.

At GoLearnTo.com, you will be thrown headfirst into the daily whirlwind of activity. From the very first day I was given my own responsibilities, which increased as my time went on. I went on to write blog posts and web content, update the website, complete research on potential products, and learn how to deal with customers and their sometimes exacting demands! The range of transferable skills acquirable from this internship is extensive – a great addition to any CV.

In addition to that, you’ll have a great time whilst you’re there. Based in Kentish Town, the hottest new hub for technology start-ups in London, the office is a great place to work. The team at GoLearnTo.com were incredible. I immediately felt welcome and part of the team, and I received nothing but support and excellent feedback throughout my time there. I was kept supplied with plenty of green tea, cookies and ice cream, and let’s face it, what more could you want?

But I think the thing that left the greatest impression on me was the achievements of the CEO Vanessa, who, with three businesses of her own, is an inspiration to budding female entrepreneurs all over the globe. I had never considered starting my own business until I interned here – but my experience at GoLearnTo.com has given me the assurance that it can be done, and the belief that I could do it!
