Go learn to kite surf on this course where you will be introduced to both the theoretical and practical aspects of kite surfing.  
 
Kite surfing is the fastest growing water sport in the world; it’s a bit like windsurfing, a bit like wakeboarding and a bit like surfing. It’s the wildest new water sport for years.
 
Taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors, this 5 day course is aimed at beginners who want to know how to fly, launch, land a kite, body drag and get up on the board in the water taking them to IKO level 1 or 2 or beyond depending on their progress.
 
Learning over five days gives you more time to get to grips with this exciting sport and you’ll take your kite boarding skills to the next level as you indulge your need for action and adrenaline.
 
You’ll be glad you discovered the fast and thrilling sport that is kite surfing. 
 
 
Suitability
- Suitable for beginners
- Must be able to swim
- Minimum age 16
- Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult
 
 
Kite Surf Course Schedule
- You’ll have 2 hours of kite surfing lessons each day over 5 days
- Lesson times vary depending on the wind conditions, it is important to check the start times with the windsurf school 24 hours in advance of the start date of your course 
 
 
Short On Time?
- If you are short on time, it may be possible to complete this course in 2 days, if you’d like to do this please email with your requirements

 
What Will I Learn?
- Introduction to kite surfing and the equipment used
- Kite surf safety issues
- The theory and technical aspects of kite surfing
- How to set up your equipment
- How to control the kite
- Launching and landing on the beach
- Body dragging in the water
- Kite recovery
- Beach start
- One handed kite flying
- Relaunch the kite from the water
- How to water start
- Rig and pilot a kite independently
- Getting up on your board and riding in the water experiencing the true thrill of kite surfing


Equipment
- You will be kitted out in top quality kite surf equipment, Best Waroo Kites and Fanatic Twintip Boards, and will have a choice of kite sizes from 2m to 13m during your lessons
- Wetsuits, harness, life jacket and helmets are provided during the lesson
- If you would like to practice your new kitesurfing skills after the lessons you can rent the equipment for approximately €30 (2 hours) or €50 (half day)

 
IKO Qualification
- You will receive an IKO qualification on successful completion of this course to level 2 depending on your progress (IKO = International Kite Boarding Organisation)
 
 
What To Bring
- All kite surf equipment will be provided so just bring everything you would normally take to the beach
- Don’t forget sunscreen, swimmers, a hat and a beach towel

 
Weather Conditions
- For safety reasons, lessons can only take place if the weather conditions permit so please be sure to check the weather conditions with the school in advance of arrival
- In the unlikely event that the conditions mean you cannot take a lesson, lessons will be offered on alternative days or you will receive a ‘wind pass’, where you will have a choice of many alternative activities to choose from including surfing, horse or camel riding, sea kayaking & more
