Customer feedback

As the first holiday I had taken alone I don't think I could have chosen a better course to take part in. Not only did I make friends, but I also managed to improve my french every day.

About the school

An ancient Provencal hilltop village in the heart of the Bandol vineyards is the setting for your Provencal cookery holiday. If you've booked accommodation you’ll stay in a wonderful family run country hotel in the heart of the village, the perfect base for a cookery course in Provence.

La Cadière d'Azur is a charming village, where the love of traditions - fresh food, fine wines and good living continues today. Within easy reach of the Mediterranean Sea, the local produce includes plenty of Mediterranean plants and sun-drenched scents of wild thyme and rosemary fill the village.

This beautiful hotel is made up of a cluster of houses including a former 11th century monastery with a vaulted room and a chapel which has been lovingly restored to the highest standards whilst retaining some of the original features.

The hotel boasts a pretty walled garden which has grown into a Provençal country house or Bastide, a sauna, gym and spa. Rooms here are comfortable and tastefully decorated and are grouped around a lovely pool all offering amazing views over the Provençal hills.

Another house in the cluster is dedicated to eating and relaxation with a Michelin starred restaurant and informal bistro both with views over the Bandol vineyards and Provencal countryside.

Cookery classes take place at the magnificent 19th century country house Bastide des Saveurs set amidst age-old olive trees and lavender and is around 3km from the village.

Enjoy a French cookery holiday and spend time at this beautiful family run hotel learning to cook with a Michelin star Chef to discover the secrets and delights of a culture driven by its culinary history.
