Whatever your level, your daily yoga classes are designed to leave with the tools necessary to enrich and deepen your practice and you will enjoy a lifestyle, exercise and diet consultation before learning to cook meals according to ayurvedic principals.

Pursue your passion for yoga and cooking, learn more about the principals of ayurvedic and take home new skills and knowledge that will stay with you long after the holiday is over.

- No prior yoga experience necessary

Yoga & Cooking Courses Christmas Retreat Start Day
- This course runs over Christmas week
- You will arrive on the Sunday afternoon and lessons will start on Monday morning
- The package is for 7 nights, Sunday - Sunday inclusive, you will check out on the morning of Sunday after your course ends
- If you need to add extra nights to fit with flights you are welcome to arrive earlier or leave later, to add extra nights on a B&B basis, email or call us on 08445 020 445 and we can check availability for you


What Will I Learn?
- Your body type will be diagnosed according to ayurveda using a questionnaire, interview, tongue and pulse check
- You will receive a life-style consultation on exercise and diet according to your specific ayurveda body type
- Each guest receives a full body ayurvedic massage
- Each morning and afternoon you will take ayurveda yoga classes suited to your body type
- Twice during the week you will learn to cook together as a group according to ayurvedic principals

 
Your Yoga and Cooking Teacher
- Your yoga teacher is trained in Iyengar, Astanga, Vinyasa and Yin and Yang yoga styles and now teaches ayurveda yoga suited to her students body type
- Your yoga teacher will also be teaching you to cook according to ayuverda principals
- All instructors stay in the house with the group so you are guaranteed individual attention as and when required

 
Typical Daily Schedule - Yoga
- 7:00-8:30 Morning nature walk and yoga
Yoga in the mornings will focus on pranayama practice to open the body for the day
- 8:30 Breakfast
- 16:30 -17:45  Yoga asanas for body types (demo and practice)
Yoga in the afternoons will focus on deeper asanas and specific asanas for your body type
- The evening is free to relax, dinner can be served at the centre for an additional price or you can go out to eat if you prefer
 

Schedule - Cooking
Twice during the week you'll enjoy a cooking class learning to cook Ayurvedic principles, on those days, schedule as follows:
- 18:00-19:30 Cooking class
- 19:30  Dinner


Yoga Course Accommodation
- Accommodation is included for 7 nights, from Sunday evening (check-in after 2pm) before the course starts on Monday morning to Sunday morning (check-out by 10am)
- Your room is located within the charming house which was once a beautiful  Olive Press
- The house consists of 4 rooms, two twins and one triple share two bathrooms and one twin room has an en-suite
- Should there be more demand for the course, accommodation may be offered at the neighbouring bed and breakfast in a twin room with en-suite

Singles holidays
- If you are travelling solo, you will share a room with someone of the same sex in either a twin or the triple room
- You can book a private room for a supplement subject to availability, if you would like to do this, please email with the date you require and we will check room availability for you


Travelling with others
- Two/Four people travelling together will be allocated a twin rooms to share
- Three will be allocated the triple room subject to availability or a twin room with one sharing with another single traveller

En-suite Rooms
- The en-suite room can be requested for a supplement subject to availability, if you wish to request this room please email with the date you require and we will check room availability for you


Meals
- Breakfast is included daily
- You will cook dinner together and eat what you have cooked twice during the week
- Please note that the food is largely vegetarian although fish may also be cooked and all food is fresh and seasonal
- Fresh water is included but all other drinks are extra
- If you have any specific dietary requirements, please enter these in the special requests box at the time of booking
 

 
Other Holiday Course Information
- The school offers Reiki, and massage by appointment
- Most classes take place on the covered roof terrace or on the yoga platform in the garden depending on the weather
 

Yoga & Cooking Equipment
- All equipment needed for both cooking and yoga will be provided
- Please wear comfortable clothes you can move easily in for your yoga classes

 
Free Time in Turkey
- You will have plenty of time to kick back and relax by the beach (around 2km walk away), to visit the local area or to practice yoga on this learning holiday with a difference
- Datça is only tenuously attached to the Turkish mainland by a long, narrow ridge of mountains that fall into the sea, the area is almost entirely covered by National Park and is largely undeveloped and has only one town
- There are no large resort hotels or mass tourism, and even in summer you can be almost alone on the more secluded beaches
- The peninsular has six attended blue flag beaches, and the water is warm enough to swim from April to December


Turkish Visas
- Most nationalities need a visa to enter Turkey, which for EU citizens and UK Citizens can be purchased on arrival for approximately 10 Euros/£10
- Other nationalities should check visa requirements with the embassy
