Combine Spanish lessons with learning to cook famous Spanish cuisine and take home two new skills that will stay with you long after your trip is over. Your language classes will be taught by highly qualified native Spanish speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques. In the afternoons, you’ll put on your chef’s apron to learn how to cook entire menus of delicious Andalucian dishes, taught by highly qualified teachers. In the evenings and weekends, you’ll learn about Malagan wine, have dinner with your teacher and other students, and go out on gastronomic excursions. Suitability - Spanish: suitable for all levels from elementary to advanced - NOTE: Beginners are accepted on the Spanish course on the 26 Sep and 24 Oct 2011- Cookery: suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced - Minimum age 16 - If you are aged between 16-18, you will need to obtain parental permission, please email for a parental approval form - Please note all language lessons will be held in the native language of Spanish; a proven teaching technique that will fully immerse you in the language and accelerate your learning experience Start Days - Classes start on Mondays and run on set dates throughout the year Class Schedule- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week - You will have 4 group, 50 minute, language classes per day - Language lessons are from 8.30am to 12.30pm - You will have a short break between each language class - You will have 2 cookery afternoons - Additional meals, excursions, and talks all take place during the evenings and weekends What will I learn? - Language lessons are highly interactive and you will speak Spanish from day 1 both inside and outside of the classroom - Focusing on the four main language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, each day will see you increasing in confidence - You will learn to cook well-known Spanish dishes such as paella, gazpacho, pollo al ajillo, and tortillas - You’ll be cooking with the freshest of natural, local ingredients Level Test - Please arrive at the school by 8am on your first day for a short level test - This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers place you in the right class for your level Other Information - We recommend you bring a small dictionary with you Optional Extras - This school offers transfers to and from the airport for an additional charge; you can add transfers during the booking process - This school offers optional accommodation which can be added during the booking process Compulsory Extras - Please note that this school charges a compulsory enrolment fee that is not included in the price and will be charged as an extra during the booking process Go learn to speak Spanish and learn how to cook Spanish cuisine in a group class where you can share your passion for language and food with others from around the globe.
