Whatever your level; learning Spanish in Mexico is the best way to accelerate your language learning experience as you immerse yourself in the rich Mexican culture.
By combining Spanish lessons with a Salsa dance course you will really be immersing yourself in the local culture as you learn how to dance to the rhythm of Mexico in Playa del Carmen.
During your Spanish course you will be taught to speak Spanish by highly qualified native Spanish speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven language teaching techniques.
Lessons are highly interactive, you’ll be taught in Spanish and you will speak Spanish from day 1 both inside and outside of the classroom.

Suitability
- Spanish courses are suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced Spanish learners
- Salsa lessons are more suited to complete beginners or those that have just a little experience of Salsa dancing

Spanish And Salsa Lessons Start Days
- The school is open year round
- Please note no lessons will be held on public holidays, dates can be found on the ‘Course Overview’ page
- Spanish and Salsa courses start on Mondays throughout the year
- If you book the optional accommodation with this learning holiday, you’ll check-in on Sunday before the course starts
How Will I Learn Spanish?
- Spanish courses are focused on having fun and classes are highly interactive
- You will focus on the four main Spanish language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening
- There will be individual and group work such as role plays and conversation practice
- You’ll also work on developing your grammar in practical contexts
- You will learn with a wide range of teaching aids; language text books, Spanish press, audio/video, Spanish songs or games and each week your linguistic skills are assessed to ensure you are always in the right group for your level
- Please note all Spanish lessons will be held in the native language of Spanish; a proven teaching technique that will fully immerse you in the language and accelerate your learning experience
What Will I Learn During The Salsa Lessons?
- During the salsa dance lessons you will learn the different dance techniques related to salsa
- You will learn how to identify the various Latino and salsa rhythms
- Dance lessons are focused on fun as well as learning so you can be sure you will enjoy this salsa dance course
Spanish Lessons Schedule
- Language classes start at 9am each day year round
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
- You will have 5 group classes per day lasting 50 minutes each (for courses in 2013, you will have 4 group classes per day lasting 50 minutes each)
- You will have a short break between each lesson
Salsa Dance Course Schedule
- Salsa lessons will take place Monday to Friday, you will have 5 hours of tuition per week
- Group lessons are held at 7pm each evening
Free Time In Mexico
Many people on these holiday courses travel solo as they make perfect singles holidays so the language school organises a host of social and cultural activities each week to help you to get to know your fellow classmates and to integrate you into the Mexican way of life, some activities are free and others have a small charge and may include:
- You can take part in cooking, arts, salsa dance classes, guitar lessons, sports and more
- Each week the school shows a film in Spanish to work on your comprehension
- Weekend excursions to Cancun, Tulum and Xel-ha, Chichen-Itza and Cenote Ikkil and more can be arranged
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on this learning holiday with a difference
Spanish Language Level Test
- On your first day, you’ll arrive at the school at 8.30am for a short language level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level
Other Information
- We recommend that you take a small Spanish dictionary, pens and paper with you
Optional Accommodation
- This language school offers a choice of optional accommodation either staying with a local Mexican family to immerse yourself in the local culture and practice your Spanish or in a student residence with other students
