Note: The Island of Poros lies around 35km south west of the port of Athens (Piraeus)
By taxi / bus / ferry:
To ensure easy access to Poros Island from Athens airport, it is advised you book flights to arrive into Athens airport no later than 3.30pm and depart no earlier than 12.30pm.
These schedules will allow sufficient time to make your way to and from Piraeus port to catch the ferry.
The ferry costs approximately 12 Euros and runs every 2 hours and a bus to the port from Athens airport costs approximately 3.20 Euros and runs every 20 minutes.
The total journey should take around 3 hours depending on the bus/taxi and ferry you book. The ferry service is efficient and it is straight forward to purchase tickets.

Transfers (1 week cookery holiday only):
Please note that if you are booking the 1 week cookery holiday, return transfers from Athens airport are included in the price. The arrival transfer is a private transfer, the return transfer is by taxi, hydrofoil/ferry and airport express bus.
Transfers operate for arrivals between 10.30am and 6.30pm on your arrival day. For return flights it is not possible to arrive at Athens airport before midday on your departure day. Guests may be required to wait in the airport as the return transfer is a group transfer.
Private transfers cannot be arranged outside of those times.
