Overnight stay followed by road and ferry connection:
Our guests tend to arrive in San Jose after a long haul flight and we therefore highly recommend an overnight stay in local accommodation in order to rest, ready to move on to the yoga retreat the following day.
The yoga retreat recommend staying in the Radisson Hotel or at The Costa Verde Inn which are in a lovely neighbourhood and just 25 minutes from the airport http://www.costaverdeinn.com/escazu.html (please note the cost of this night is not included in the holiday price and is an extra cost to be booked independently)
The following morning (Thursday) at 9am you will be collected at the Radisson Hotel or Costa Verde Inn by private taxi-bus, organised by the yoga retreat. The journey to the retreat will take 4 ½ hours and will be both over road and aboard a ferry (from Punteranas to Paquera). The total cost is around $80 per person and you can arrange this transfer with the yoga retreat post booking.
This private taxi-bus can also be arranged for an extra cost for the return journey to the airport. It will depart from the retreat at 8am, taking the 11am ferry. You can be dropped at either the restaurant or the retreats’ recommended hotels, The Costa Verde Inn, or Radisson Hotel at around lunch time.
Fly from San Jose to Tambor Airport
Another option is to fly from San Jose to Tambor airport which takes about 20 minutes. The regional airline Sansa offers direct flights to Tombor in small 12 people planes and Tombor airport is only 27km from the yoga retreat. Once at Tombor airport, catch a taxi to the retreat for about $50 USD
