Set in the beautiful countryside of Aveyron, this beautifully restored farmhouse is the setting for your introduction to silversmithing jewellery making course in France.
This jewellery course focuses on an introduction to silversmithing techniques and working with silver and will suit those who are looking to make jewellery from metals, focussing on working with sterling silver.
Under the guidance of your English host Karen, you’ll learn how to use a variety of different jewellery making tools to create your own unique pieces of silver jewellery, such as stacker rings, pendants, earrings and heavier pieces such as rings and bracelets made from sheet metal.
You’ll spend 2 days in a jewellery making workshop focusing on silversmithing and producing metal based jewellery but will also have time to relax and enjoy this rural retreat.
This silversmithing course offers great hands-on jewellery making lessons in a relaxing and scenic setting with friendly hosts. The design and creative element of the course is guaranteed to appeal to your creative side.

Silversmithing Jewellery Making Itinerary
Day 1
- You’ll be collected from Rodez airport or train station (other airport collections on request for a supplement) and on the drive to the village of St Geniez d'Olt and the house, you’ll take in some sightseeing
- Your evening is free to make your own arrangements for dinner, if you would like to go to the nearby village transport will be provided
Day 2 and 3
- Following breakfast, you’ll head to the workshop to start your Silversmithing classes
- During each day you’ll break for lunch and during the two days you’ll have some free time to relax
- Each evening is free to make your own arrangements for dinner, again transport is provided to the nearby village or lake if you wish to visit a local restaurant
Day 4
- After breakfast, guests are asked to check out of their room and enjoy a scenic drive to the airport or train station for your trip home

Silversmithing Course Accommodation & Meals
- This tastefully converted cottage has just 2 twin/double guest rooms located in the attic with stunning views
- Rooms are decorated with good quality white cotton sheets, TV with DVD and easy chair and the cottage boasts a kitchen and lounge area with log fire for use by the guests
- There is one bathroom that is shared between the two rooms with a good shower and plenty of hot water
- Breakfast is included daily
- Lunch is included on the 2 silversmithing workshop days
- Vegetarians can be catered for
- Wi-fi is unavailable in the area
- Your hosts have cats who are not allowed in guest designated areas
