Learning Spanish in Ibiza is the best way to accelerate your language learning experience. Combine a Spanish course with learning to dance salsa and you’ll really be immersing yourself in the local Spanish culture, progressing rapidly as you put your Spanish lessons into practice during your salsa dance classes.
Your Spanish course will be taught by highly qualified native Spanish speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques.
After class head to the local salsa club where you’ll join locals and visitors alike to learn to salsa or if you are already a dancer, you’ll progress your salsa skills in intermediate to advanced lessons.

- Salsa lessons are suitable for all levels from complete beginner to advanced dancers
- Minimum age 18 (16-17 year olds may be accepted under certain circumstances)
Who Are Our Guests?
- People come from all over the world and you’ll never be placed in a class with just English speakers so that you use the language you are learning rather than resorting to chatting in English
- Ages vary, but the typical language learner falls in to the 20-60 age bracket though we have no age limit and we’ve had guests in their 70’s and 80’s studying languages with us
- During the summer and in university holiday times the average age typically drops and there are many guests in their 20’s
- Over 90% of our language learners travel solo and every school organises social and cultural activities to help you get to know others at the school outside of class
- Of course, everyone shares a passion or interest in discovering a new language and culture

- Spanish and Salsa courses start on Mondays throughout the year
- If you book the optional accommodation with this learning holiday, you’ll check-in on Sunday before the course starts
How Will I Learn Salsa?
- Salsa dance lessons will be held at a salsa club in Ibiza Town just a few minutes walk from the - Spanish language school
- You will be taught by a qualified salsa dance teacher (3 male teachers plus female teachers) how to dance salsa according to your level
- The teachers will help immerse you in the salsa scene in Ibiza where you can join visitors and locals alike at other salsa clubs, events and if you are lucky even salsa dance nights at the beach
- You’ll be taught in a fun and friendly group with mainly locals but also some visitors who share a passion for dance
- Salsa styles covered include cha cha, salsa cubana, salsa estilo, salsa en linea, Batuca, Merengue, Salsa estilo Los Angeles
How Will I Learn Spanish?
- Spanish courses are focused on having fun and classes are highly interactive
- You will focus on the four main Spanish language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening
- There will be individual and group work such as role plays and conversation practice
- You’ll also work on developing your grammar in practical contexts
- You will learn with a wide range of teaching aids; language text books, Spanish press, audio/video, Spanish songs or games and each week your linguistic skills are assessed to ensure you are always in the right group for your level
- Please note all Spanish lessons will be held in the native language of Spanish; a proven teaching technique that will fully immerse you in the language and accelerate your learning experience
Spanish Course Schedule
- Classes start at 9.30am each day year round
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
- You will have 4 group classes per day lasting 45 minutes each
- You will have a short coffee break mid morning
Salsa Course Schedule
Salsa lessons take place in the evenings and the schedule below is for guidance only, exact times will be confirmed on arrival:
Beginners Salsa
- Beginners will have 4 hours of lessons each week
- 2 hours on Tuesday starting at 7pm
- 1 hour on Thursday starting at 8pm
- 1 hour on Friday starting at 7pm
Intermediate To Advanced Salsa
- Intermediate to advanced salsa dancers will have 5 hours of lessons each week
- 1 hour on Monday and Wednesday starting at 8pm
- 1 hour on Tuesday and Thursday starting at 9pm
- 1 hour on Friday starting at 7pm
What To Wear?
- Please bring shoes with a non-grip sole for dancing
- Wear comfortable clothing you can easily move in
Free Time In Ibiza
Many people on these holiday courses travel solo as they make perfect singles holidays so the language school organises a host of social and cultural activities each week to help you to get to know your fellow classmates and to integrate you into the Spanish way of life, some activities are free and others have a small charge and may include:
- Guided tours of the historical old town of Ibiza ‘Dalt Villa’
- Excursions to the stunning beaches and bays around the Island as well as Formentera
- Shopping trips to the hippy markets
- Visits to discover Ibizenco folklore and Flamenco
- Hiking trips
- Team sports including volleyball, football, horse riding & sailing
- Parties and picnics
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on this language learning holiday
Spanish Language Level Test
- Please arrive at the school by 8:30am on your first day for a short level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level
Other information
- We recommend that you take a small Spanish dictionary, pens and paper with you
Compulsory Extras

Optional Accommodation
- This language school offers a choice of optional accommodation either staying with a local Spanish family to immerse yourself in the culture and practice your Spanish or in a shared apartment with others
