Surf Camp - Hostel

I had a good time and a lovely holiday but this isn't really a surf camp. The hostel is really well located but is quite basic although has some nice new bathrooms. The communal breakfast is a really nice touch and very social. The surf sessions are not flexible with the tides and winds because they are also open to the holiday makers in the other hotels and all inclusive resorts. This means the first hour or so is spent picking them up from the various hotels and then finding some waves suitable for beginners and these people 'trying' surfing for one day. This makes it harder for the instructors but they do a great job despite these limitations. Windsurfing on the lagoon was good, although the equipment is quite old and I'd recommend bringing your own tight boots/wetsuit shoes as the available ones fill with water and the bottom is covered with sharp rocks! Overall I did have a good time and it's a beautiful area. I think I prefer a more dedicated surf holiday.

Not particularly good beaches/conditions for beginners and just above, during my trip. The beach normally used is a long drive from the resort. This doesn't help the job of the instructors much either and I wasn't inspired by their efforts. Shortsleeved wet suits not adequate for paddling

Overall it was a very enjoyable trip. I had a good time socially. Accomodation was slightly basic.
