Whatever your level; taking an Italian course in Rome, Italy is the best way to accelerate your learning experience. Combine learning Italian with an Italian cooking course and you’ll really be immersing yourself in all things Italian.
Your Italian language lessons will be taught by highly qualified native Italian speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques.
You’ll head to the home of the cooking teacher for a private cooking class to learn to cook traditional Italian dishes including pasta, risotto, meats and fish and more.

Who Are Our Guests?
- People come from all over the world and you’ll never be placed in a class with just English speakers so that you use the language you are learning rather than resorting to chatting in English
- Ages vary, but the typical language learner falls in to the 20-60 age bracket though we have no age limit and we’ve had guests in their 70s and 80s studying languages with us
- During the summer and in university holiday times the average age typically drops and there are many guests in their 20s
- Over 90% of our language learners travel solo and every school organises social and cultural activities to help you get to know others at the school outside of class
- Of course, everyone shares a passion or interest in discovering a new language and culture
Italian And Cooking Course Start Days
- Courses start every two weeks on Mondays throughout the year
Italian Course Schedule
- Classes start at 8.50am-12.40pm or 2pm-6pm each day depending on your language level
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
- You will have 4 group classes per day lasting 50 minutes each
- You will have a short break between each class
Italian Cooking Class Schedule
- You’ll have 1 cooking class during the week in the cooking teacher’s home
- The exact time and day of the Italian cooking course will be confirmed on arrival to fit around your Italian language classes, lessons can either start in the morning and finish after you’ve eaten lunch or in the evening and finish after you’ve eaten the dinner you’ve cooked
- Note: the cooking classes are held in the cooking teacher’s home which will be in the San Lorenzo area of Rome which is around a 15 minute walk from the language school
How Will I Learn Italian?
- Italian lessons are focused on having fun and classes are highly interactive
- You will focus on the four main language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening
- There will be individual and group work such as role plays and conversation practice
- You’ll also work on developing your grammar in practical contexts
- You will learn with a wide range of teaching aids; language text books, Italian press, audio/video, Italian songs or games and each week your linguistic skills are assessed to ensure you are always in the right group for your level
- Please note all Italian lessons will be held in the native language of Italian; a proven teaching technique that will fully immerse you in the language and accelerate your learning experience
What Will I Learn To Cook?
- Cooking lessons are usually for 1 or 2 persons so it’s likely you’ll have a private class and you can choose what you’d like to cook for the 3 courses depending on your dietary requirements
- Typical Italian dishes may include:
Bruschetta
Pasta with sage butter
Risotto with seasonal vegetables
Ragout of mushrooms and sweet onions
Vegetable side dishes
Tiramisu
Panna Cotta
Free Time In Rome
Many people on these holiday courses travel solo as they make perfect singles holidays so the language school organises a host of social and cultural activities each week to help you to get to know your fellow classmates and to integrate you into the Italian way of life, some activities are free and others have a small charge and may include:
- Visiting museums, galleries, churches, Rome’s countless monuments and much more
- Choose to visit one of Rome’s many concerts covering everything from jazz to opera and rock to classical
- You will have the option to take part in walking tours around Rome or weekend excursions to Naples, Pompeii, Florence, beaches and much more
- The school will also host sports activities and seminars on Italian culture
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on this learning holiday with a difference
Italian Language Level Test
- Please arrive at the school by 8.50am on your first day for a short level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level
Optional Extras
- This Italian language school offers transfers to and from the airport or railway station for an additional charge; you can book transfers during the booking process
- This school offers optional accommodation
Optional Accommodation
- This language school offers a choice of optional accommodation either staying with a local Italian family to immerse yourself in the Italian culture and practice your Italian or in a shared apartment with others

Compulsory Extras
- Please note that this school charges a compulsory course enrolment fee, this is not included in the price and will be charged as an extra during the booking process, click on dates & booking and select a date to check the price
- You will be required to purchase a text book for the course for approximately €24 which will be added on during the booking process
