Holiday itinerary

Slow down to the pace of Spanish life on this unique yoga holiday. Stay for 7 nights / 8 days in the pretty pueblo blanco of Conil de la Frontera, just 30 minutes from Cadiz and 50 minutes from Jerez surrounded by pine forests and some of the best beaches on this unspoilt coast of Spain.

Practice yoga each morning and evening in a fun and friendly environment and unwind and physically, mentally and spiritually recharge during your stay in this magical place.

Enjoy the flexibility of a yoga holiday that gives you plenty of free time to simply relax in the Finca’s tranquil gardens or by the pool or enjoy a range of activities such as horse riding, walking, kitesurfing, surfing or even take a trip to Morocco and much more.

The Finca is set in the hills of Conil de la Frontera with magnificent views over the countryside and coastline and is the ideal place to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy some amazing sunsets.  This is a haven away from the bustling pueblo blanco and is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating yoga retreat to recharge mind, body and soul.
 

Suitability
- Yoga holidays are suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced yogis
- Minimum age 16 (if you are under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult)


Travelling Solo?
- These yoga holidays make great singles holidays and in fact many people who take this yoga holiday travel solo as it’s a wonderful relaxing and sociable retreat
- Singles will have their own private room with a shared bathroom with no single supplement


Yoga Holiday Start Days
- All arrivals are on Saturdays on selected dates thoughout the year
- Holidays are for 7 nights / 8 days so you’ll arrive Saturday, start your yoga sessions Sunday and leave the following Saturday morning


Yoga Holiday Itinerary – Mar, Apr, May, June, September, October & November
The itinerary is for guidance only and is subject to change depending on the group’s needs and wishes but is typically as follows:

Day 1 – Saturday arrival day and welcome dinner
- Arrive anytime after 4pm to settle into your room (earlier check-in’s may be possible on request)
- Around 8pm, join your fellow guests and hosts for a delicious welcome dinner

Days 2-7 – Sunday – Friday yoga, massage, meditation
- Around 8am your day will start with morning flow yoga and meditation practice
- After your morning yoga practice, a wonderful breakfast will be served around 9.30am
- The rest of the day is free for you to relax by the pool or in the gardens, head to the beach or take part in a number of different activities (extra charge) in the area such as horse riding, climbing, kite surfing, walking or surfing
- Around 6pm each day apart from Wednesday evening which is a free evening, your evening mindfulness and Hatha yoga session takes place
- Each day apart from Wednesday which is a free evening for you to visit the local village for dinner (at your own expense),  join your fellow guests for dinner around 8pm

Note: During the week there will be two activities which take the place of one of your usual yoga sessions for that day. The exact days of these will be confirmed on arrival and the activities are as follows:
- A silent meditative walk followed by a nice lunch
- A yoga class at one of the nearby beautiful beaches and a relaxing massage

Day 8 – Saturday departure day
- Today is departure day so after breakfast at 9am head back to the airport feeling relaxed, restored and revived

Yoga Holiday Itinerary – July and August
In Summer, there is a slightly different itinerary for your yoga holiday, the itinerary below is for guidance only and is subject to change depending on the group’s needs and wishes but is typically as follows:

Day 1 – Saturday arrival day and welcome dinner
- Arrive anytime after 4pm to settle into your room (earlier check-in’s may be possible on request)
- Around 8pm, join your fellow guests and hosts for a delicious welcome dinner

Days 2, 3, 5, 6 – Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday – yoga and meditation
- Around 8am your day will start with a morning flow yoga and meditation practice
- After your morning yoga practice, a wonderful breakfast will be served around 9.30am
- At 11am you are invited to join a 45 minute mindfulness and meditation session
- The rest of the day is free for you to relax by the pool or in the gardens, head to the beach or take part in a number of different activities (extra charge) in the area such as horse riding, climbing, kite surfing, walking or surfing
- Each day you have a free evening for you to visit the local village for dinner (at your own expense)

Day 4 – Tuesday – beach yoga
- Around 8am your day will start with a morning yoga session at one of the nearby beautiful beaches
- Around 10am, enjoy a Spanish breakfast on the beach
- Today you’ll also enjoy a relaxing massage (the exact time will be confirmed on arrival)
- The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the beach or visit the local village
- Around 8pm, join your fellow guests back at the Finca for a delicious Spanish dinner

Day 7 – Friday – yoga, meditation and BBQ
- Enjoy a lie in today and breakfast around 9.30am at the Finca or earlier if you prefer
- The rest of the day is free to do as you wish
- Around 6pm your evening mindfulness and Hatha yoga session takes place
- At 8pm, join your fellow guests for a farewell BBQ at the Finca in the gardens

Day 8 – Saturday departure day
- Today is departure day so after breakfast at 9am head back to the airport feeling relaxed, restored and revived


Where Will I Practice Yoga?
- The Finca has a purpose built yoga platform set aside for yoga practice although yoga may also be practiced outside by the pool or in the gardens surrounded by the lemon trees
- One one day during the week, the group will head to one of the beautiful beaches on the Costa de la Luz for a yoga session


About Your Yoga Teacher
- Your yoga teacher Mireille has over 5 years experience and teaches a combination of yoga flow and hatha yoga
- Even if you’ve never tried yoga flow before, Mireille will start gently and will help you build your confidence during the week to deepen your practice and encourage you to develop your yoga skills during your stay
- The yoga classes cover the physical teachings of yoga as well as the spiritual and holistic aspects of the yoga tradition in general
- Evening sessions are based on Hatha yoga, a gentle form of yoga that focuses on form and alignment to bring balance to the body and mind


What Will I Learn?
- Yoga practice will be adapted for all levels from complete beginners to advance yogis
- Your yoga classes will be based on Hatha yoga and yoga flow and will cover Asanas (physical movements), Pranayama (breathing practices), Meditation (stilling and calming of the mind & inner self) and Relaxation (complete mind, body relaxation)
- Flow yoga classes are dynamic and energetic and combine linking the breath with the posture moving from one pose to another in a smooth manner using the inner breath
- Flow yoga is designed to strengthen your body and draw attention to the breath and movement to relax the body and calm the mind
- Hatha yoga is a gentle, relaxing form of yoga that relies on the control of the breath in different postures to teach you how to deepen your pose, relieve tension and completely relax


What To Bring
- Please bring comfortable clothing you can move in easily for your yoga practice
- It can be hot in the summer months so please bring clothing that will be suitable for practicing in hot weather if you are travelling in the height of summer
- Yoga mats are provided but you are welcome to bring your own


Treatments / Massage
- One relaxing massage is included during the week (the exact time of the massage will be confirmed on arrival)
- Additional massages and treatments are available and if you wish to book a treatment, your yoga teacher can help you arrange a visit from a local therapist during the week
- All treatments are paid for locally and prices range from 25 Euros upwards


About The Finca Accommodation
- You’ll stay in a wonderful Andalucian Finca set in the hills overlooking the pueblo blanco of Conil de la Frontera, just 10 minutes’ drive from the nearest beaches and village
- The Finca has a traditional rustic Spanish feel with spacious rooms, traditional wooden beamed ceilings, wooden floors and pristine white walls
- Set in lovely gardens, the Finca has a pool, outdoor dining area, a communal kitchen, an outdoor bar (chiringuito), herb garden and a purpose built yoga platform
- There are 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the property and typically you’ll be sharing a bathroom with a maximum of 3 people
- Prices are based on 1 person having a private bedroom with shared bathroom and there are no single supplements
- If two people travel together and share a room, there is a reduction in price which can be added at the time of booking
- Accommodation is included for 7 nights / 8 days
- Check in any time after 4pm on day 1 and check out by 11am on day 8
- Wi-fi is available throughout the property
- Your hosts have dogs and a cat, however they are not allowed in guest designated areas


Meals
Breakfast
- Breakfast is included each morning and is taken at the Finca around 9.30am
- Special diets will be considered with advance notice, but please bear in mind that in a small Spanish village, specialist ingredients (dairy/wheat/vegetarian cheese replacements for example) are not readily available

Lunch
- Lunch is not prepared for you but you have access to the Finca’s kitchen to prepare your own light lunch if you wish and you are welcome to use anything that is in the kitchen including fresh fruit, bread, cheeses, salads, herbs and vegetables along with unlimited coffee, tea and water

Dinner (Mar, Apr, May, June, September, October and November)
- Dinner is served each evening at the hotel (except for Wednesdays when you can take dinner in the local village where there are plenty of fantastic, reasonably priced tapas bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from at your own expense)
- Dinner consists of typical Spanish dishes and are cooked the Chef who is a great cook and has a love for honest and pure food using fresh, seasonal food and herbs from the Finca’s herb garden
- Meals are not vegetarian and may include local fresh fish but will not include meat
- If you are vegetarian or have dietary requests these must be communicated to us at the time of booking

Dinner (July and August)
- Enjoy a welcome dinner on your arrival day, Saturday evening
- On Tuesday you’ll have dinner at the Finca cooked by the chef who has a love for honest and pure food using fresh, seasonal food and herbs from the Finca’s herb garden
- On Friday evening, in the Finca’s gardens you’ll have a farewell BBQ


Free Time In Conil de la Frontera
- Conil is a picturesque seaside village, located on the Costa de la Luz, in the Cadiz province of Spain in Andalucía. It is a typical Spanish fishing village, with white walls and streets - a true 'Pueblo Blanco' and as far removed as you can imagine from a typical Spanish beach resort
- During your free time enjoy the lively town, wander through its myriad of streets to discover local shops, cafes and stop for a while to drink in the views across the sea to Morocco
- Your yoga teacher can give you lots of information on what activities are on offer in the local area which include horse riding, walking, kite surfing, surfing and much more
- You could also visit the city of Cadiz or nearby pueblo blanco Vejer which is perched on a hill overlooking Conil
- Tarifa and its kitesurf beaches is around 30 minutes away and from there you can take the ferry to Morocco or go dolphin watching for the day
