Your Italian course will be taught by highly qualified native Italian speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques.

Lessons are highly interactive, you’ll be taught in Italian and you will speak Italian from day 1 both inside and outside of the classroom.

Who Are Our Guests?
- People come from all over the world and you’ll never be placed in a class with just English speakers so that you use the language you are learning rather than resorting to chatting in English
- Ages vary, but the typical language learner falls in to the 20-60 age bracket though we have no age limit and we’ve had guests in their 70s and 80s studying languages with us
- During the summer and in university holiday times the average age typically drops and there are many guests in their 20s
- Over 90% of our language learners travel solo and every school organises social and cultural activities to help you get to know others at the school outside of class
- Of course, everyone shares a passion or interest in discovering a new language and culture


Italian Course Start Days
- The school is open year round with a break for Christmas
- Italian courses start on Mondays throughout the year
- If you book the optional accommodation with this learning holiday, you’ll check-in on Sunday before the course starts


How Will I Learn Italian?
- Italian courses are focused on having fun and classes are highly interactive
- You will focus on the four main Italian language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening
- There will be individual and group work such as role plays and conversation practice
- You’ll also work on developing your grammar in practical contexts
- You will learn with a wide range of teaching aids; language text books, Italian press, audio/video, Italian songs or games and each week your linguistic skills are assessed to ensure you are always in the right group for your level
- Please note all Italian lessons will be held in the native language of Italian; a proven teaching technique that will fully immerse you in the language and accelerate your learning experience


Italian Course Schedule
- Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
- Classes start at 9.10am each day
- You will have 4 group classes per day lasting 50 minutes each
- You will have a short mid morning coffee break


Free Time In Florence
Many people on these holiday courses travel solo as they make perfect singles holidays so the language school organises a host of social and cultural activities each week to help you to get to know your fellow classmates and to integrate you into the Italian way of life, some activities are free and others have a small charge and may include:
- Free activities include walking tours of Florence every Monday, Italian films, five-aside football, sports, visits to nightclubs and much more
- Optional excursions can be arranged for activities such as olive oil tasting, cooking lessons, cinema visits, group dinners, a Chianti tour, wine tasting, museum visits and longer weekend excursions to the beaches and other cities
- You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on this learning holiday with a difference


Italian Language Level Test
- Please arrive at the school by 9am on your first day for a short language level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level


Other Information
- We recommend you bring a small Italian dictionary, pen and paper with you
- Classes may be given by different tutors during your course in order to help you get used to different accents


Optional Accommodation
- This language school offers a choice of optional accommodation either staying with a local Italian family to immerse yourself in the Italian culture and practice your Italian or in a shared apartment with others
- Accommodation details can be seen under the ‘Course Overview’ tab and can be added during the booking process


Compulsory Extras
- Please note that an enrolment fee is payable as a compulsory extra for this course and will be charged as an extra during the booking process
- This fee includes a certificate of completion, unlimited internet access, optional activities as well as a discount card for shopping and cultural activities in Florence
