A wonderfully relaxing week with Marlene and Marc cooking up some great traditional French dishes. Marlene is a wonderful cook who is passionate about cooking and passing on her knowledge and technique. It was great getting out and meeting the local producers around their lovely home in the French countryside. I learned a lot, ate a lot and laughed a lot.

One of our best holiday experiences. Every day we wouldn’t stop being surprised. Loved our daily mornings adventures to local producers, markets and towns of Lot-et-Garonne – Marlene knows the area very well. Absolutely recommend to those who love French cooking, rural living and new discoveries.

What an amazing adventure this was! Both Marlene and Marc were extremely attentive and made you feel right home as soon as you arrived. Not only was the cooking and hospitality truly amazing, but it is nestled in beautiful provincial France amongst gorgeous scenery.
C House, Villamartin, Spain - Sep 2013
Dishes lacked variety. Too many pastry dishes. Very basic accommodation. Nothing to do in the evenings. Overpriced.
Reply from Supplier: I am very sorry to read that you had a bad time with us, I took your word for it when you said that you were happy with the itinerary and that you had never cooked any of the dishes before. The menu is quite varied with soufflés, rabbit, veal, quail, duck, seabass, tarts, quiche, mousses, etc, but nonetheless, I would have been more than happy to vary our cooking even more if you had any preferences for dishes you'd like to have made. We did make dessert every day and 1 shortcrust pastry and I apologise if this was too much as we could have made 2 starters instead. I am sorry you did not like the rural location of the farmhouse or your room, we did give your our best one and unfortunately could not have done any better. We'd always encourage you to speak to us during your stay as we would have been happy to do everything possible to ensure you had a great time with us. Marlene & Marc
