Surf Holiday – Surf Camp Package – Famara

Great experience..would love to book another learning holiday with GoLearnTo.

I had a really great week staying in the Famara Surf House and taking Beginner's surf lessons! It was very easy to meet people in the shared accommodation and would especially recommend this to single travellers. I felt let down by the standard of the accommodation, however. On the bottom floor (where my bedroom was), it was infested with big cockroaches! Not nice. Plus the bottom bedroom had no windows and was unbearably hot to sleep in. The kitchen/bathrooms were not cleaned so often also and bins were not emptied for days... The surf teachers were lovely - really enthusiastic and approachable. I loved the warm-up exercises and how people of all different nationalities and ages were in the lesson. I do think more tuition could have been given, as after some initial (e.g. 15 mins) work on technique on the beach, we were then left up to our own devices for most of the 4 hour session. Overall I was quite disappointed. I was expecting a surf camp and instead it was a surf camp for someone who just wanted to do a single day of surfing. This is advertised as being a good option for someone traveling alone and it wasn't. GoPro cameras are not a good option as the quality was very bad
