We had the best cooking experience with Chef Jean-Francois Berard. Chef Jean was excellent and entertaining. He spoke some English, his enthusiasm, love of cooking, and positive personality made us happy and relaxed to be part the class. The cooking class was the highlight of our trip.

My friends and I had a wonderful day...and gained a whole new perspective on the preparation of fine fish dishes. The enrollment was easy, the staff friendly and welcoming. We found our instructor, Jean-Francois Berard not only skilled, but charming as well. It was a memorable experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! The chef, Jean Francois was not only very knowledgeable but very diplomatic, with a good sense of humor as well. We enjoyed his energy and all the extra useful tips he gave us. The translator, Miriam, was such good fun. We couldn't have asked for a better companion as she spent a lot of time with us, greeting us, eating with us at breakfast, translating, taking us on excursions in the afternoon. She was a wealth of information - history, etc. - delivered with a twinkle in her eye. We learned so much, ate so much and had such a great time doing it! It was a much enjoyed vacation.

We loved the course, the lessons, the meal we prepared and the ambience. Enjoying the fruits of our efforts seated around Rene's table in the garden. We would love to return and do a full week's course.
