Walking, Weight Loss and Wine Tasting Holiday

Margaretha and Charles were a sweet wonderful couple! Loved our talks by the dinner table! Expected hotel standard, but it was more like living in someone´s home. I think the riding would be better if Margaretha leaded it. Now the horses didn´t meet our expectations, but the scenery was amazing!

Overall a good experience however was not what the 'brochure implied'. I did not speak barely any French and it really is only a 2 1/2 day holiday not 4 days. This makes it very expensive with car hire and the train. The hosts were wonderful and included me in some of their own activities during my stay.

Fantastic holiday. Gorgeous location with excellent riding out opportunities. Learnt so much about wine and it's production.

Our hosts were 'between' houses, and the house used for our course did not correspond with that described in the holiday information. For example, our room did not have ensuite facilities which was disappointing. Having said that, we had a most interesting and enjoyable break, and immediately felt part of the family. The lessons were well planned and informative, and also good fun. We are now qualified wine snobs! Thank you.

Had a wonderful time, horse riding in the morning around the vineyards, then wine tasting at local producers in the afternoons. It felt more like staying with a family as I was made to feel so welcome. Hope to return soon.

We felt included like friends and family from the moment we arrived. Individual teaching and attention. Beginners to horse riding, we soon developed a real understanding of horses and their care. And there was not much we didn't know about wine tasting and Madiran vines by the end of the week.

The quality of the riding tuition was excellent; one to one tuition every day and a ride out into the vineyards and through fields in the evenings on well schooled, well mannered horses. The wine tasting was excellent with expert opions and several outings to local wine tasting events and festivals
